Waste Management Services
The Waste Management Division of the City of Fairhope’s Public Works Department is responsible for the safe and efficient collection of garbage, trash, and recycling throughout the city.
Collection Schedule & Maps
Use the maps below to view your pickup schedules:

Holiday Reminder: All waste services are suspended on City-observed holidays and resume on the next scheduled collection day.
Weekly Collection Schedule
- Garbage: Twice per week
- Trash: Once per week
- Recycling: Once per week
- Service Start Time: As early as 1:00 a.m.
Place carts at the curb or alley the night before your scheduled collection day.
Cart Placement & Guidelines
- Place carts within 5 feet of the curb or street
- Handles must face away from the street
- Do not place carts out more than 24 hours in advance
- Return carts promptly after pickup
Important Cart Rules
- Carts are City-issued and remain City property
- Only City-issued carts will be collected
- All waste must be bagged and fully contained

- Monday–Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Must have a valid City of Fairhope sticker to use this service.

Yes, you may place a mattress or box spring at the curb on your scheduled trash pickup day. Each household may place one large item per week for pickup.
Each household may set out up to 2.5 cubic yards of trash, lawn, or limb debris weekly. Please ensure:
- No mixed materials
- No items in black plastic bags
