The Department Community Affairs informs, engages and connects the city with civic, community, arts, volunteer and other non-profit organizations to raise awareness of city priorities, programs and services.

The Department Community Affairs works to develop memorable experiences in Fairhope Alabama. From annual events to daily services, the department works with local merchants, business owners, citizens, and special organizations to not only promote Fairhope but to create a quality of life for all citizens to enjoy. The Community Affairs Department operates the Fairhope Civic Center, downtown Welcome Center, Fairhope Museum of History, James P. Nix Senior Center and coordinates all of the City of Fairhope sponsored events.
