Fairhope, AL – Four local students were recognized during a recent Fairhope City Council meeting for receiving 2026 Energy Southeast Scholarships.

The scholarships, awarded by Fairhope Public Utilities’ energy provider, Energy Southeast, will provide each student with $2,500 to support their higher education endeavors in Alabama.

“We are incredibly proud of these bright students and their accomplishments,” said Mayor Sherry Sullivan. “This scholarship program helps invest in the future of our community by supporting students as they pursue higher education and career opportunities. We are grateful to Energy Southeast for their continued commitment to education and student success across Alabama.”

The students were recognized by Mayor Sherry Sullivan, City Council members, and the Fairhope Public Utilities Electric Department during the meeting.

Since 1992, Energy Southeast and its Member cities have awarded over $3.5 million in scholarships to Alabama high school seniors, supporting both college and vocational education opportunities throughout the state.
