The City of Fairhope and the Baldwin Pops Band invite one and all to the annual Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks display on Monday, July 4, at Henry George Park and the Fairhope Municipal Pier Park.
The Baldwin Pops Band Independence Day Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Henry George Park on top of the bluff. The band will perform a variety of patriotic tunes before and during the fireworks display. Fireworks begin at dusk, approximately 9 p.m. “This is a wonderfully festive evening,” said Mayor Tim Kant. “Everyone brings lawn chairs or blankets and picnic spreads to enjoy a delightful evening on Mobile Bay.”
Listen for WABF 1220 AM for a live broadcast of the day’s festivities.
The north end of Fairhope Pier Park, along the beach, will be open throughout the day and will remain open while parking is available. Limited handicap parking will be available near the fountain, but if you wish to park in the handicap area, plan to arrive early and stay until the fireworks are over. Fairhope’s 4th of July celebration is an alcohol-free event. Several food vendors will be located near the south beach area. For your safety, no personal fireworks are permitted at the event.
